Bounce-A-Thon

Yesterday, The Sonshine Learning Center (Weston's school), had a Bounce-A-Thon to raise money for Relay for Life. Last Year, the SLC raised $1,200 at the Bounce-A-Thon. This year, they raised $2, 025. Over the past few weeks, Weston has been raising money for the event, and yesterday, he turned in $515.00. So, a big thank you to everyone who gave. Relay for Life is very dear to my heart because all the money raised puts us one step closer to a cure.

During the Bounce-A-Thon, Weston wore a shirt that said "Bouncing for Grandma." Unfortunately, he never met his Grandma, but I know she was so proud of him yesterday.

If you are asking, "What is a bounce-a-thon?" Basically, all the kids from 3 months-5 years had a ball of some sort in their hand. The older kids had a partner and bounced the balls back in forth. Weston just chased several different balls around the parking lot. It was a lot of fun, and most importantly, the SLC donated over $2,000.00 to cancer research!!

This is Weston with his teacher, Mrs. Margaret. Weston loves Mrs. Margaret so much. If you didn't know better, you would think he was her grandchild. We've been very blessed to have her as his teacher this year. We don't even want to think about having to move up and leave Mrs. Margaret.

Weston's "Bouncing for Grandma" shirt...

They had all size balls at the bounce-a-thon, but when Weston saw the bucket of these small balls, he was so excited. He would grab several in his hand and throw them out of the bucket. He would laugh so loud everytime he did it. So cute!!!

I was finally able to get Weston to sit for a picture...it had to be a quick one though!

This sign is posted in the entrance of the SLC, along with signs from each class and a "goal tracker." Thanks again for all that sponsored Weston!
