Weston's first stitches...

Weston has his first (and hopefully last) stitches.
-
Last night, we were unaware that Weston had come into our room and crawled in our bed. Crawling in our bed is nothing new....we've been fighting this battle for a while now...I can tell you a list of MANY things we've done to try and stop him from getting out of his bed in the middle of the night. However, he usually crawls into the middle...this time he got on the outside of Chris. While asleep, he fell off the bed and hit his head our our bedside table. So, at 3:00AM...we headed to WakeMed's Children's ER.

He was in good spirits to have a busted head and very little sleep!

His doctor gave him some gloves to play with and they entertained him for a good while.

Then, he played with his Bob the Builder puzzle book. Thankfully I had a bag of tricks that I packed for church yesterday, so I grabbed it as we were rushing out of the door.

Daddy's boy!

Mommy's boy!!!

All stitched up and eating his Popsicle for "breakfast".

This was a quick trip in comparison to some ER visits we've had. His doctor was great (and knew Roger and Renn...so maybe we got some special treatment). We were in and out within about 2 hours.

This morning he is acting like silly Weston. Right now, he's on the back porch "helping" Chris paint.
-
So, he'll have a "cool" scar for his 3rd birthday and birthday party!

Any suggestions for keeping him in his own room at night???
